Saying goodbye to the season... Brewer Style!!

Some people box their trees up...

Other people take them to the dump...

             Still others recycle their trees.....

The Brewers....

Well......

We Burn!!!

No, Really, folks - we BURN our Tree!!

If any of you know Jerry to any extent... this will, of course, come as no surprise... :)
(yes, his shirt does say "Pyroman"... very fitting indeed!)

I'm just happy that we have a yard big enough (and with a fence high enough) to contain it all... as opposed to the first floor of house that we rented out in Michigan... with a fireplace... (yep, you know where this is going!)... that also connected to the fireplace of the people right above us... (how did we find this out??)... in which we learned that Christmas trees produce a LOT of smoke when burned... and also produce some very curious upstairs neighbors who come down to check and see if the fire department should be involved in any activity currently going on below...

So however you mark the holiday season - may all be merry and bright - and without any 'heated incidents'  in your neck of the woods!

Loved all the posts! your trip to the water park looked like so much fun, especially in the middle of winter. And yes Jerry is the pyro-man. Any year we had fireworks that were duds, he made sure they got "used properly", nothing a little gas couldn't fix! ;)
Hope you're having a good new year! Loved the bobble heads! Very cute!

we always burned ours growing up, too. but i don't remeber the excess amounts of smoke produced by burning the tree?! hmmm?

that is an awesome memory to have though!

It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I bet you keep an extinguisher close.
