Thoughts on the Resurrection...

... By Seth Brewer:  (As re-told to me by his primary teacher - thanks, Val!)

...So Seth is in Primary where they are learning about about Easter, and the Resurrection of Christ.  When the teacher got to the part where she taught them that 3 days later, Jesus was resurrected.

Seth piped up before she went on... "So, when is President Hinkley going to be resurrected?  It's been WAY more than 3 days..."

... ahh, the simple complexity of children's questions...

School Lunch... and finally seeing the 'mystery man'!!

Since Jerry had some time today before he took off for his convention in Texas, we did a little impromptu lunch date with the kiddos at school...

... and learned yet another difference in the wonder that is twins... (which, by the way, Jerry totally called from the beginning.  As we pulled up to the school, he said, "Seth is going to be so embarrassed that we are here."  I replied, "No he won't, he'll be excited!" ummm, does that make me a part of the 'geeky mom club' for thinking that??!)

We waited by the door for them to come in from play time, on their way to the lunch room.  When Seth came through, we jumped next to him, and said, "Hey Seth!!  We get to have lunch with you today!"  He took one look at us, let out a nervous little giggle... and then did the duck-'n-run to the lunch room line.  (Jerry turned to me with that "toldyaso" smile")

... When we found Sarah in the line, she squealed, grabbed my hand and started repeatedly telling EVEYRONE around her that her mom, dad, and little brothers were HERE!!  She then held on to our hands and jumped up and down pretty much the whole time we waited in line.

Seth did warm up to the idea of having us show up, and I still think that deep down inside he was excited to have us there!!

... and finally... after MONTHS and MONTHS of hearing about "Ethan"... and even getting some glimpses from afar on the playground when dropping the kids off at school... we finally got a glimpse of the little man who has stolen our little 6 year olds heart...
ahhh, young love...

Found

... On a Saturday Morning...
                          ... at 6:45 am....
                                           ... in the backyard...
Yep, Joshy will do almost anything to get to the great outdoors, including breaking and exiting (i.e. getting through the childproofing of the back door), and once he gets outside, this is where you will find him:  in the car, just hanging out, taking in the scenery.   All I can say, is thankfully Jerry put up the fence, so my heart attack at realizing that he has escaped is not a full blown cardiac arrest, knowing that he is still a wee bit on the short end to reach the gate handles. (until he construes a way to overcome that obstacle as well!!)

Proof

I am not naive enough to think that my children are going to get along harmoniously perfect their entire lives... so I am posting these pictures for that day when they 'can't stand the sight of each other'... simply to show them that there was a time when they, indeed, loved to be together...

When I had them come together to take this picture (since I forgot to take Easter Pictures, consider these our pseudo "Happy Easter" pics...), they all spontaneously grabbed hands - definitely a tender heart moment for mommy :).

Exhibit B...
As we were waiting to head out to church, Sarah had me draw these letters for her, then she colored them, and presented the poster to Seth.  When we got back from Church, Seth quickly wrote the other little note, and presented it back to Sarah.  Yep, heart melting moments... :)

A Little Catch up...

Okay, so I have been in basic survival mode for the past little while, and the pictures have been piling up, so here is our trip to the Childrens museum over Spring break (thank you for indoor activities!!  It was rainy and freezing the whole week!!).

Ben couldn't get enough of the boat racing station...

Sarah Mastered the bubble station...

Joshy was mesmerized by the toddler water table...
(and was soaked by the time we headed home!)

Seth became 'one' with the turtle exhibit...

... and we all explored the ant hill to find the 'monster' ant!
The other two girls are our good friends, Joce and Ellie Jackson- thanks so much for making the day so much fun girlies!!  (Incidentally, Benjamin has since declared that Ellie is his 'girlfriend' and she is 'so cute!' ??!!  The boy is 4 years old - I'm going to have to put the brakes on him quickly!!  I think he's been listening to his love-sick older sister a bit too much lately :)  ).

From the mouth of babes (and their older counterparts)....

I love how kids so innocently tell on themselves...

Here is an excerpt out of our day:

Mom, "Seth and Ben, you may not play the Wii until your bedroom is clean"
Boys... zoom past me into the bedroom (which could be classified as a nuclear war zone at this point)...

45 seconds later, they both come zooming past me again on their way downstairs to their beloved Wii...

Mom, "Whoa whoa whoa...is your room clean?"
Ben, "yes!"
Mom, "If  I go look in your room, will I think it's clean?"
Seth, "Are you going to look under the bed?"
Mom, (thinking, well, now that you mention it,) "Yep"
Seth, "Ah, man... c'mon Ben"

... and they both slink down the hall to finish the 'cleaning of the room'

Yep, I love it when the kiddos help you in the disciplining efforts :)

P.S.

Happy April 1st :)

Okay, Okay, Lesson learned!!!

... I have learned that when one is speaking, especially when Heavenly Father can hear, you better choose your words very carefully...

... like when we started on the whole parenting road, we simply wanted to be able to help in "multiplying and replenishing the earth."  Well, apparently God stopped listening at 'multiply' and sure enough - we started off parenthood with twins (which we have LOVED!!).

... so as many of you may (or may not) know by now (my hubby has this funny thing of trying to have us not tell ANYONE, and then just show up randomly with a new baby... so far he is 0 for 4 on that plan...)...  we are expecting (again).  (And many of you may or may not know that we use clomid for each pregnancy, so multiples is always an option...)

... and I have learned that when you decide you want to go down the pregnancy road and decide that this will be your last, don't say that out loud... because someone might just hear, and turn the joke on you... which is what we saw at our first 'official' pregnancy appointment yesterday... not one, not two, but THREE little aliens starting to take life form.

... Can you say THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN!... and it's about to take up housing in our neck of the woods...
